How to Draw a Stingray
Draw a stingray in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: soft kite.
Step 1: Soft kite
Near the top, draw a big soft kite: round wing tips out each side and a tiny flat bottom.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the top half, draw 2 big egg eyes side by side with black dots and shines.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Start under the left eye. Draw a wide happy U smile and stop under the right eye. Add oval cheeks.
Step 4: Body and wings
Start on the top edge, outside each eye. Draw a curve down the wing, down to the bottom point.
Step 5: Whip tail and thorn
From the bottom point, draw a long tail down, curling right to a thin tip. Add a pointy thorn halfway.
Step 6: Spots on the wings
On each wing, draw 4 little circles of different sizes, like polka dots.
Step 7: Bubbles
Draw 3 little bubbles in a slanted line going up above the right wing, biggest at the bottom.
Step 8: Sea floor
Under the tail, start near the left edge. Draw a long gently wavy line, stopping near the right edge.
Step 9: Colour the stingray sand
Colour the body, wings and tail sand, around the spots and cheeks. Keep the eyes white.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, blue spots
Colour the 2 cheeks pink, then every spot blue.
