How to Draw a Las Vegas Sign
Draw a las vegas sign in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the wide diamond.
Step 1: The wide diamond
Draw a big wide diamond: a point at the top and the bottom, and a round end at each side.
Tip Make it much wider than it is tall.
Step 2: The light border
Just inside the diamond, draw a second diamond the same shape, to make a thin border all the way round.
Step 3: Two tall posts
Draw 2 tall thin posts behind the sign, from near the top of your paper down to near the bottom.
Tip The posts hide behind the sign, so leave them out where the diamond is.
Step 4: The top bar
Join the tops of the 2 posts with a long thin box lying flat across them.
Step 5: The ground
Start left of the posts. Draw a straight ground line under them and stop on the other side.
Step 6: The big star
Between the posts, on the top point of the sign, draw a spiky star with 8 points.
Tip Draw a plus sign of 4 long points first, then fit 4 more in between.
Step 7: Seven circles
Inside the sign, near the top, draw 7 small circles in a row, like silver coins.
Tip Draw the middle circle first, under the star, then 3 on each side.
Step 8: Write LAS
Under the circles, on the left, write LAS in tall capital letters.
Step 9: Write VEGAS
Leave a small space, then write VEGAS in capital letters just as tall. Keep it inside the border.
Step 10: Yellow border
Go over your lines. Colour the thin border yellow, all the way round. Leave the middle of the sign white.
Step 11: Grey posts
Colour the 2 posts and the top bar grey.
Step 12: Red star
Colour the star red. Your Las Vegas sign is done!
