How to Draw a Key Lime Pie
Draw a key lime pie in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top.
Step 1: The top
In the middle of your paper draw a long triangle pointing left. Bow its right side out.
Step 2: Crust rim
Along the bowed side draw a fat crust band, from the front corner to the back corner.
Step 3: The cut side
From the point draw a short line down, a long line along the bottom, then up to the crust.
Step 4: Bottom crust
Near the bottom of the cut side draw a line from the left end, then turn up under the crust.
Step 5: Cream dollops
On the top draw a round dollop of cream, with a smaller one peeking out on each side.
Step 6: A lime wheel
Draw a round lime wheel standing in the middle dollop, with a smaller round inside for the rind.
Step 7: Lime segments
From the middle of the wheel draw 6 short lines out to the inner round, like a star.
Step 8: A plate
Draw a big flat oval plate behind the slice, passing under it. Add an oval inside for the rim.
Step 9: The table
Draw a table line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.
Step 10: Tan crust
Colour the crust rim and the bottom crust tan.
Step 11: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, going around the slice and the lime wheel.
Step 12: Light green filling
Colour the top, the cut side above the crust and the wheel's middle light green, going around the dollops.
Step 13: Dark green rind
Colour the lime wheel's rind dark green, around its light green middle. Your key lime pie is done!
