How to Draw a Kawaii Coffee Cup
Draw a kawaii coffee cup in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: lid rim.
Step 1: Lid rim
In the upper middle, draw a long thin bar with round ends, as wide as your hand.
Tip Leave room above it for the steam.
Step 2: The cup
Start under the bar's left end. Draw a tall U with a flat bottom and stop under the right end.
Tip The cup gets a little narrower towards the bottom.
Step 3: Big eyes
In the middle of the cup, draw 2 big ovals. Colour them black, leaving 2 white dots in each.
Tip Draw the white dots first, then colour around them.
Step 4: Small smile
Between the eyes, a little lower, draw a small U smile.
Step 5: The sleeve
Start on the left side. Draw a line across to the right, above the eyes. Add one below the smile.
Tip These 2 lines make the sleeve, the band you hold a hot cup by.
Step 6: Lid top
Start on top of the bar. Draw a low flat bump and stop on the bar again.
Step 7: A little heart
Under the sleeve, in the middle of the cup, draw a small heart.
Step 8: Three steam curls
Above the lid, draw 3 wiggly steam curls going up. Make the middle one the tallest.
Tip Hot coffee inside!
Step 9: Ground line
Start at the left. Draw a flat line under the cup. Stop at the right.
Step 10: Pink cheeks and heart
Colour a small pink oval under each eye. Colour the heart pink too.
Tip Press lightly so the cheeks stay soft.
Step 11: Cream sleeve
Colour the sleeve cream, around the eyes and the pink cheeks.
Step 12: Sky blue cup
Colour the cup sky blue above and below the sleeve, around the heart.
Step 13: Brown lid
Colour the lid and its rim brown. Go over your lines. Your kawaii coffee cup is done!
