How to Draw a Jumping Jack Toy
Draw a jumping jack toy in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: head and hat.
Step 1: Head and hat
Draw a round head. From one side draw a pointed hat over to the other, with a ball on top.
Tip Pull the string and the jumping jack flings its arms and legs up.
Step 2: Big eyes
On the head draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a tiny white shine.
Step 3: A smile
A little under the eyes draw a small U smile from eye to eye, ends turning up.
Step 4: The body
Under the head draw a plank body: a tall rectangle, a little narrower at the bottom.
Step 5: Two arms
From near the top corners of the body draw 2 flat arms flung up and out, with round hands.
Tip Keep a little gap between each arm and the head.
Step 6: Two legs
From the bottom corners of the body draw 2 flat legs kicked out and down, with flat oval feet.
Step 7: Pegs and buttons
Dot a little round peg where each arm and leg joins the body. Add 2 buttons down the middle.
Step 8: Pull string
From the bottom of the body draw a string straight down, ending in a round bead.
Step 9: Wooden figure
Go over your lines. Colour the head, arms, legs, hands, feet, pegs and buttons wood tan. Add pink cheeks.
Tip Keep the eyes white.
Step 10: Red body and hat
Colour the body and the hat red, around the pegs and buttons.
Step 11: Blue bead and ball
Colour the bead and the ball on the hat blue. Your jumping jack is done!
