How to Draw a Jetpack
Draw a jetpack in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room around the head for a big round helmet.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 small oval eyes below the middle of the head. Add a tiny nose and a smile.
Step 3: Soft hair
Start on the left of the head, above the eyes. Draw round tufts over the top, down to the right.
Step 4: Space helmet
Around the whole head draw a big circle for the helmet, leaving a gap all round.
Step 5: Neck and suit
Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From the left one draw a suit top over to the right.
Step 6: Arms flung up
From each sleeve draw an arm out to a bent elbow, then up to a mitten glove.
Step 7: Jetpack and straps
Behind each shoulder draw a tank with a flat cap, joined to the back. Add 2 straps, collar to waist.
Step 8: Trousers
Start at the bottom left of the suit. Draw 2 long trouser legs down to the boots.
Step 9: Boots
Under each leg draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out and a heel block at the back.
Step 10: Flames and a cloud
Under each tank draw a nozzle and a teardrop flame, clear of the legs. Add a puffy cloud bottom left.
Step 11: Grey gear, brown hair
Colour the jetpack, straps, boots, gloves and collar grey. Colour the hair brown. Leave the suit white.
Step 12: Orange flames
Colour the 2 flames orange.
Step 13: Peach skin, blue sky
Colour the face and neck peach, leaving the eyes white. Colour the sky blue all around, even in the helmet.
Tip Leave the cloud white.
