How to Draw Jambalaya
Draw jambalaya in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pan.
Step 1: The pan
In the middle of your paper, a little left, draw a big circle for the pan, a hand wide.
Step 2: The inside wall
Draw a second circle a finger inside the first, all the way round, for the inside of the pan's wall.
Tip Jambalaya is spicy rice cooked in one pan with sausage, shrimp and peppers.
Step 3: The handle
Start halfway down the pan's right side. Draw a long handle to a round end and back to the pan.
Step 4: Rice grains
Inside the pan draw 10 short curved dashes spread about at different angles, for grains of rice.
Step 5: Sausage coins
Draw 3 round sausage slices of different sizes spread about the pan, each with 2 tiny dots inside.
Step 6: A shrimp
In the middle draw a fat curled shrimp like a thick comma, with a tail fan and 2 lines across.
Step 7: Another shrimp
On the left draw a smaller shrimp facing the other way, with its own tail fan and 2 lines across.
Step 8: Pepper bits
Draw 3 small tilted squares with soft corners at the top, right and bottom of the pan, for pepper pieces.
Step 9: Green onion
Draw 4 tiny rings scattered over the rice for slices of green onion.
Step 10: Pink shrimp, green bits
Go over your lines, then colour the shrimp pink, and the pepper bits and onion rings leaf green.
Step 11: Brown coins, orange rice
Colour the sausage coins brown, then the rice orange, around the shrimp, peppers, onion rings and coins.
Step 12: Slate pan
Colour the pan's wall and its handle slate grey.
