How to Draw a Jaguar Cub

Draw a jaguar cub in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.

Step 1: Big round head
Near the top draw a big round head, wider than tall, with full cheeks and a flat chin.
Tip A cub has a very big head. Leave room below for a small body.
Step 2: Round ears
Draw a round ear on each top corner of the head. Add a smaller curve inside each ear.
Step 3: Big eyes
Across the middle of the head draw 2 big oval eyes. Give each a black dot and a shine.
Tip Leave the eyes white around the dots.
Step 4: Snout and smile
Under the eyes draw a wide oval snout with a black nose. From the nose tip, draw a w smile.
Tip The snout stays inside the head, just above the chin.
Step 5: Ground and body
Draw a ground line below. From each cheek draw a body side curving out and down to the line.
Tip The body is small and plump, about as wide as the head.
Step 6: Front legs
From under the chin draw 2 plump legs down to big paws and back up. Add 2 toes each.
Tip Cub paws are big and round. Leave a gap between the legs for the tummy.
Step 7: Back paws
Beside each front paw draw a bun paw on the ground, tucked behind it. Add 1 toe line.
Tip Rub out the body line inside each paw.
Step 8: Curly tail
From behind the right back paw draw a thick tail curling out and up to a round tip.
Tip The tail gets a little thinner towards the tip.
Step 9: Ring spots
On each side of the body draw 2 thick wobbly rings. Put a black dot inside each ring.
Tip Rings with a dot inside are how you spot a jaguar.
Step 10: Little spots
Draw 3 small black spots on the head and 1 low on each side. Colour the tail tip black.
Step 11: Cream and peach
Colour the snout and the tummy between the front legs cream. Colour inside each ear peach.
Step 12: Golden and ginger
Colour the cub golden yellow around the cream, peach and eyes. Then colour inside each ring ginger.
Tip Leave the eyes white. Your jaguar cub is done!
