How to Draw an Ice Cube
Draw an ice cube in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the front.
Step 1: The front
In the middle of your paper, draw a big square with soft corners.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the front, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Draw a wide U smile under the eyes. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The top face
From the top corners of the square, draw 2 slanted lines up to the right and join them.
Step 5: The side face
From the square's right edge, draw a slanted line up to the top face's corner, and one down the back.
Step 6: Shine dashes
In the top left of the front, draw 2 slanted dashes, and 1 on the top face, for the shine.
Step 7: Melt drops
On the side face, draw 2 little teardrops sliding down, one high and one lower.
Step 8: The puddle
Round the bottom of the cube, draw a wide flat puddle, a long oval with round ends, mostly in front.
Step 9: Table line
Start near the left edge and draw a table line just touching the puddle's bottom, stopping near the right edge.
Step 10: Sparkles
Draw 4 little sparkles around the cube, each a star with 4 fat points, not touching the cube.
Step 11: Sky ice
Colour the front, the top, the drops and the puddle light sky blue, leaving the eyes and cheeks white.
Step 12: Blue side face
Colour the side face blue, around its 2 drops.
Step 13: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles
Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
