How to Draw an Ice Cream Cart
Draw an ice cream cart in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box.
Step 1: The box
In the middle of your paper draw a long box with soft corners, wider at the top.
Tip Nearly 3 times as wide as it is tall, like a tray.
Step 2: The rim
Start on the left wall a finger under the top. Draw one line straight across, stop on the right wall.
Step 3: The handle
Start halfway down the left wall. Draw a thin pole slanting up and out, with a bar on its end.
Step 4: The umbrella
Start on the box top. Draw a tall pole up to a big dome with 6 bumps underneath.
Tip Add a little ball on top and 2 curved lines from it down to the bumps.
Step 5: Two fat wheels
Under the box draw 2 big round wheels, one near each end, with a small circle in the middle.
Step 6: Wheel holders
Start under the box each side of a wheel. Draw a short line slanting down into it. Do both wheels.
Step 7: The ice cream
In the middle of the box draw a big upside-down triangle cone with a round scoop on top.
Tip It is a picture painted on the cart, so keep it inside the box.
Step 8: The ground
Start near the left edge of your paper. Draw a straight line touching both wheels, stop near the right edge.
Step 9: Cream box, tan cone
Go over your lines. Colour the box under the rim cream, going around the ice cream, and the cone tan.
Step 10: Pink umbrella
Colour the umbrella and the ice cream scoop pink.
Step 11: Grey handle, wood rim
Colour the umbrella pole and tip, the handle, the wheel holders and wheel middles grey, then the rim wood brown.
Step 12: Black wheels
Colour the wheels black, going around the grey middles. Your ice cream cart is done!
