How to Draw a Wheel Loader
Draw a wheel loader in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cab.
Step 1: The cab
Above the middle, draw a tall box with soft corners for the cab. Add a thin roof poking out.
Tip The cab goes in the middle: engine behind, bucket in front.
Step 2: The round face
In the cab, draw a BIG circle, half as tall as the cab, on its right half.
Step 3: Big eyes and smile
In the circle, draw 2 big eyes with black dots and white shines, and a wide smile under them.
Step 4: Window, engine, pipe
Left of the face, draw a window. Behind the cab, add a low engine with 3 lines and a pipe.
Step 5: Base and big tyres
Under the cab and engine, draw a long base, then 2 BIG tyres over it with hubs. Add the ground.
Tip Big rubber tyres, not tracks: that makes it a wheel loader.
Step 6: Tyre treads
Around each tyre, draw 6 short lines pointing in from the edge, evenly spaced like a clock.
Step 7: The lift arm
From the cab, draw a fat arm curving down to the right. Add a short post under it.
Tip The arm comes down low, so the bucket sits near the ground.
Step 8: The bucket
At the end of the arm, near the ground, draw a wide scoop with a round back and flat bottom.
Step 9: Yellow loader, white face
Colour the cab, engine, base, arm and post yellow, going round the window. Leave the face white.
Step 10: Sky window, rosy cheeks
Colour the window sky blue and give the face 2 rosy pink cheeks.
Step 11: Grey bucket, slate tyres
Colour the bucket, roof and pipe grey, and the tyres dark slate, leaving the hubs white. Ready to scoop!
