How to Draw a Hot Apple Cider Mug
Draw a hot apple cider mug in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the mug.
Step 1: The mug
Start top left. Draw a fat round belly down to a flat bottom, then up to the top right.
Tip A cider mug is big and round so you can warm both hands.
Step 2: The rim
Across the top draw a flat oval rim. Draw a smaller oval just inside it for the cider.
Step 3: The handle
Start high on the mug's right. Draw a fat D loop out and back to the mug, then one inside.
Step 4: Cinnamon stick
From the cider draw a stick of 2 close lines leaning up to the top left. Add a middle line.
Step 5: Apple slice
On the rim's right end draw a half moon. Add a skin line inside, corner to corner, and 1 seed.
Step 6: Steam
Above the mug draw 2 wiggly steam lines rising up from the cider, between the stick and the apple.
Step 7: Table and shadow
Draw a flat oval shadow under the mug. Add a table line from its ends to far left and right.
Step 8: Cream rim, golden cider
Go over your lines. Colour the rim and apple middle cream, around the seed, and the cider golden orange.
Step 9: Red skin, grey shadow
Colour the apple skin red and the shadow grey.
Step 10: Teal mug, brown stick
Colour the mug and handle teal, the stick and seed brown, and your cider is done!
