How to Draw a Ninja Star
Draw a ninja star in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top point.
Step 1: Top point
Start left of the middle of your paper. Draw a tall pointy hat: up to a tip, then down again.
Tip This star has 4 points. Make every point the same length.
Step 2: Side points
From each loose end draw a point going sideways: out to a tip, then back in underneath.
Step 3: Bottom point
Start at the left loose end. Draw a point going down, and stop at the right loose end.
Tip The bottom tip sits right under the top tip.
Step 4: Middle hole
In the very middle of the star draw a small round hole.
Tip Turn your paper round: the star should look the same from every side.
Step 5: Four long lines
Draw a straight line from each tip to the hole. Stop at the edge of the hole.
Step 6: Four short lines
Draw a short line from each inside corner of the star to the hole.
Tip Now every point has 2 halves.
Step 7: Shiny sparkles
In each corner of your paper draw a small sparkle with 4 points.
Step 8: Yellow sparkles
Go over your lines, then colour the 4 sparkles yellow.
Step 9: Light grey halves
Colour the left half of the top point light grey. Turn your paper and do the same on every point.
Tip Light, dark, light, dark, all the way round.
Step 10: Dark grey halves
Colour the other half of every point dark grey.
Tip Press harder with the same grey crayon if you only have one.
Step 11: Black hole
Colour the hole in the middle black, and your shiny ninja star is done!
