How to Draw a Haunted Hayride
Draw a haunted hayride in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: wagon bed.
Step 1: Wagon bed
A little below the middle of your paper draw a long flat box. Add a short bar sticking out left.
Tip Make the box long and thin, like a flat tray.
Step 2: Two big wheels
Under the bed draw 2 big round wheels, one near each end, with a small circle in the middle.
Step 3: Spokes
In each wheel draw 4 short spokes from the little middle circle out to the rim, like an X.
Step 4: Pile of hay
Start on the bed at the left. Draw a lumpy pile of hay in soft bumps, down to the right.
Step 5: Pumpkins
Draw 2 pumpkins on the hay, big on the left, small on the right, with curved lines and stubby stems.
Step 6: Ghost sign
At the back draw a stick rising out of the hay. On top draw a smiling little ghost.
Step 7: Straws
Draw 3 short straw lines inside the hay pile, leaning different ways.
Step 8: The ground
Draw the ground line under the wheels, from one edge of your paper to the other.
Step 9: Yellow hay, orange pumpkins
Go over your lines. Colour the hay yellow, going around the pumpkins and the stick, then the pumpkins orange.
Step 10: Wood brown wagon
Colour the wagon bed, the bar, the stick, the pumpkin stems and the wheel middles wood brown.
Step 11: Grey wheels, white ghost
Colour the wheels slate grey, going around the brown middles. Leave the ghost white. Your haunted hayride is done!

Your finished drawing
