How to Draw a Harp

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a harp in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the column.

Print

  1. Step 1: The column

On the left draw a tall thin rectangle standing up, almost to the top, with a round knob on top.

  2. Step 2: Curved neck

From the top of the column draw a thick band arching over to the right and swooping down.

Tip Rub out the bit of column line inside the band, so they join as one frame.

  3. Step 3: Soundboard

From the right end of the neck draw a thick slanted band down to the column's bottom, like a ramp.

  4. Step 4: The base

Under the column and the ramp draw a flat rounded bar, a little wider than both.

  5. Step 5: Four strings

Inside the frame draw 4 long straight lines from under the neck down to the ramp, longest on the left.

  6. Step 6: Three more strings

Draw 3 more strings to the right, shorter each time, from the neck down to the ramp.

  7. Step 7: Music note

Beside the harp on the right draw a music note: a round head, a stem up and a little flag.

  8. Step 8: Sparkles and floor

Draw 2 sparkle stars beside the harp. Draw a floor line under the base from left to right.

  9. Step 9: Gold frame

Go over your lines. Colour the column, knob, neck and sparkles gold yellow.

  10. Step 10: Wood soundboard

Colour the ramp and the base wood brown.

  11. Step 11: Black note

Colour the music note head black. Your harp is done!
