How to Draw a Hangar
Draw a hangar in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big round front.
Step 1: The big round front
In the middle of your paper draw the hangar front, like a giant upside-down bowl with a flat bottom.
Step 2: The inner arch
Inside the front draw a second arch a finger in from the edge, to make a thick curved frame.
Step 3: The huge door
Start on the bottom line. Draw a huge door up and back down to the bottom. Add 5 panel lines.
Tip Make the door nearly as wide as the arch: a hangar's door fills most of the front.
Step 4: A round window
Above the door draw a round window with a plus sign inside.
Step 5: The ground
Draw the ground line from each bottom corner out to the paper's edge. Add grass blades at each end.
Step 6: A windsock
On the right draw a pole from the ground up to the height of the roof. Add a striped windsock.
Step 7: The sun
Draw a round sun with 8 short rays in the top left.
Step 8: A cloud
Draw a puffy cloud up in the middle: bumps over the top and 2 flatter bumps underneath.
Step 9: Sun and windsock
Colour the sun yellow and the 2 end stripes of the windsock orange.
Step 10: Sky window, grey front
Colour the window sky blue. Colour inside the inner arch grey, going around the door and window.
Step 11: Dark frame, navy door
Colour the curved frame dark grey and the door panels navy. Go over your lines and your hangar is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a hangar, drawn by you.
