How to Draw a Hamster Wheel
Draw a hamster wheel in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the wheel.
Step 1: The wheel
In the middle of your paper, draw a big circle. Draw a second circle a thumb inside it.
Tip Leave a little room at the bottom for the stand.
Step 2: Hamster head and ears
Inside the wheel, below the middle, draw a big soft egg head. Put 2 tiny round ears on top.
Step 3: Two shiny eyes
Just below the middle of the head, draw 2 round eyes. Add a big black dot and shine in each.
Step 4: Nose and smile
Under the eyes, draw a wide bump and a triangle nose. From the nose, draw down to a smile.
Step 5: Body and tummy
Draw the body from under each cheek down to the inner rim. Add a tummy arch on the rim.
Step 6: Arms and feet
Draw 2 fists on the tummy. Curve arms from the body down to them. Rest 2 feet on the rim.
Step 7: The stand
Draw 2 straight legs like a letter A. Start each on the wheel and slant down to the ground.
Step 8: The rungs
All round the rim, draw 6 short straight lines from the inner circle to the outer circle.
Step 9: The ground
Draw one long ground line across under the stand, out to both sides.
Step 10: Spin lines
Up on the right, outside the wheel, draw 3 short curved dashes following the rim.
Tip The dashes curve the same way as the wheel, like it is whizzing round.
Step 11: Pink ears, nose, paws
Colour the inside of the ears, the nose, the fists and the feet pink.
Step 12: Ginger fur, cream tummy
Colour the tummy and muzzle cream, then the rest of the hamster ginger around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Blue wheel
Colour the rim blue, between the 2 circles. Leave the inside white. Your hamster wheel is done!
