How to Draw a Halloween Scene
Draw a Halloween scene in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pumpkin.
Step 1: The pumpkin
Low on the left of your paper draw a big fat round pumpkin with a little dip in the top.
Tip Leave the right side for a house and the sky for a ghost.
Step 2: Pumpkin eyes and nose
On the pumpkin draw 2 triangle eyes pointing up, a good gap apart. Add a small triangle nose under them.
Step 3: Grin, stem and ridges
Under the nose draw a wide grin with a big curve under it. Add a stem and 2 ridge lines.
Step 4: A ghost
Above the pumpkin draw a floating ghost: an upside-down U with straight sides and a wavy bottom with 3 bumps.
Step 5: Ghost face
On the ghost draw 2 tall black oval eyes and a little smile.
Step 6: The haunted house
On the right draw a tall box for the walls, a pointed roof sticking out past them, and a chimney.
Step 7: Door and windows
In the middle of the walls draw an arched door, starting and ending on the ground. Add 2 square windows.
Step 8: Moon and stars
In the top right draw a crescent moon, pointed at the tips. Add 3 sparkle stars across the sky.
Step 9: Bats
High in the sky draw 2 bats: a round body, 2 pointy ears and a bumpy wing each side.
Step 10: Ground and grass
Draw a ground line across the bottom, behind the pumpkin and house. Beside each, add 3 curved grass blades.
Step 11: Yellow glow, white ghost
Colour the pumpkin's face, the windows and the moon yellow. Leave the ghost white.
Step 12: Orange pumpkin
Colour the pumpkin orange, going around the yellow face. Colour the stem green.
Step 13: Grey house, black bats
Colour the house dark grey around the windows and the bats black, with white eye dots. You're done!
