How to Draw Perspective Boxes
Draw perspective boxes in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: line and dot.
Step 1: Line and dot
Draw a straight line across your paper, a little above the middle. Put a small dot in the middle.
Tip Every slanted line in this drawing will aim at that dot.
Step 2: First box front
Below the line on the left, draw a square with straight sides for the front of the first box.
Step 3: Box face
On the square, draw 2 big round eyes with a black dot and shine. Add a small U smile.
Step 4: Top and side
Draw lines from the top corners and bottom right corner toward the dot. Stop short and join the ends.
Tip Only go about a third of the way to the dot.
Step 5: Second box front
Above the line on the right, draw a smaller square for a box floating up high.
Step 6: Bottom and side
Draw lines from its bottom corners and top left corner toward the dot. Stop short and join the ends.
Step 7: Third box front
Below the line on the right, draw a square for the third box, like the first one.
Step 8: Top and side again
Draw lines from its top corners and bottom left corner toward the dot. Stop short and join the ends.
Step 9: Sky tops and bottom
Colour the tops of the 2 low boxes and the bottom of the high box sky blue.
Step 10: Blue fronts
Colour the 3 front squares blue, leaving the eyes white.
Step 11: Navy sides
Colour the 3 sides navy. Go over your lines and your boxes look solid!
