How to Draw a Guitar
Draw a guitar in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.
Step 1: The body
Below the middle of your paper draw the body like a fat figure 8, with a bigger round bottom.
Step 2: The sound hole
In the middle of the body, draw a round hole across the thin waist, mostly below it.
Step 3: The neck
Start on top of the body. Draw 2 long lines straight up, close together, and join them across the top.
Step 4: The head
Start on the left neck line. Step out, go up and round, and down to the right neck line.
Step 5: Tuning pegs
On each side of the head draw 2 little round pegs sticking out on short lines.
Step 6: Frets
Draw 3 lines across the neck, evenly spaced, from under the head down towards the body.
Step 7: The bridge
Below the sound hole draw a short wide bar across the body.
Step 8: The strings
Start at the head. Draw 4 long lines straight down the neck, behind the sound hole, stopping on the bridge.
Step 9: Music notes
Draw 2 music notes, one each side. Start with a small circle, then draw a stem up to a flag.
Step 10: Wooden guitar
Colour the body, neck and head wood brown, going round the sound hole and the bridge.
Step 11: Grey pegs, dark hole
Colour the pegs grey, and the sound hole and bridge dark grey.
Step 12: Blue notes
Colour the notes blue. Go over your lines and your guitar is done!
