How to Draw a Griddle
Draw a griddle in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the griddle.
Step 1: The griddle
Across the middle draw the griddle: a wide flat shape narrower at the back than the front, seen from above.
Step 2: The front pancake
On the front left of the griddle draw a flat oval pancake.
Step 3: The face
On the front pancake draw 2 big egg eyes with black dots. Add a wide U smile and 2 cheeks.
Step 4: Two more pancakes
Draw another oval pancake behind it to the right, and a third on the right that a spatula will lift.
Step 5: Edge and handles
Under the front edge draw a thin band for the thick edge, and a short handle sticking out each side.
Step 6: The spatula
Over the right pancake draw a flat square spatula blade with a long thin handle slanting up to the right.
Step 7: A pat of butter
Between the pancakes draw a little square pat of butter lying on the griddle.
Step 8: Steam
Start just above the back edge and draw 3 wiggly S lines of steam rising up.
Step 9: Feet and counter line
Under the edge draw 2 stubby feet near the ends. Draw a counter line under them, nearly edge to edge.
Step 10: Sparkles
In the air above each side, draw a little 4-point sparkle to make it shine.
Step 11: Tan pancakes, yellow butter
Colour the pancakes tan around the eyes and cheeks, and the butter and sparkles yellow. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Grey spatula, pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink and the spatula grey.
Step 13: Slate griddle
Colour the griddle dark grey around the pancakes, butter and spatula. Colour the edge and feet black, handles dark grey.
