How to Draw a Great Dane Face
Draw a great Dane face in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: tall head.
Step 1: Tall head
Draw a tall head in the middle: flat on top, straight down the sides, round underneath.
Tip A Great Dane has a long head, taller than it is wide.
Step 2: Folded ears
On each top corner draw an ear that folds over and hangs down to a soft point.
Tip Make the 2 ears match.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the top half draw 2 round eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a tiny shine.
Tip Leave the rest of each eye white.
Step 4: Long muzzle
Below the eyes draw a long square muzzle. Its bottom hangs in 2 droopy bumps below the head.
Tip The droopy bumps are the jowls.
Step 5: Big nose
At the top of the muzzle draw a big rounded nose and colour it black.
Step 6: Lip line
Start under the nose. Draw a straight line down the middle. Stop at the dip between the jowls.
Step 7: Happy tongue
Under the dip draw a U for the tongue hanging out. Add a short line down its middle.
Step 8: Tan fur
Colour the head tan, around the eyes. Stop at the muzzle and leave the eyes white.
Step 9: Pink tongue
Colour the tongue pink.
Step 10: Brown mask
Colour the muzzle and both ears brown. Your Great Dane face is done!
