How to Draw a Golden Lion Tamarin
Draw a golden lion tamarin in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Near the top draw a big round head, a little wider than tall. It is half of the whole tamarin.
Step 2: Golden mane
All round the head draw a ring of big soft bumps, like a sun, a thumb out from the head.
Tip The mane is like a little lion's. That is its name!
Step 3: Heart face and eyes
In the head draw a big sideways heart. Put a big egg eye with a black dot in each bump.
Step 4: Nose and smile
On the face dot 2 tiny nostrils. Under them draw a wide U smile from eye to eye.
Step 5: Egg body
Start under the left cheek. Draw an egg body down and round, up to the right cheek. Add a tummy.
Tip The body is narrower than the head.
Step 6: Two hanging arms
From under the mane, draw an arm down each side of the body, thinner at the wrist, and back up.
Step 7: Mitten hands
Under each wrist draw a round mitten hand, wider than the arm. Add 2 short finger lines.
Step 8: Two feet
From the bottom of the body draw a leg down to a bun foot, and back up. Do both sides.
Step 9: Curly tail
From behind the right foot draw a tail along the ground, up into a thin curl, back to the foot.
Step 10: Ground
Draw a long ground line right under the feet and the tail.
Step 11: Peach face and hands
Colour the face, tummy, hands and feet peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Golden mane, orange fur
Colour the mane golden yellow, then the head, body, arms and tail orange, around the peach parts.
