How to Draw a Grandma
Draw a grandma in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the dress and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 eyes, each a dot with a shine. Add 2 eyebrows, a tiny nose and a smile.
Step 3: Round glasses
Draw a big round lens around each eye, with a tiny curved bridge between them.
Step 4: Hair, fringe and bun
Draw the hair over the top of the head, just above the head line, with a fringe. Add a bun.
Step 5: Neck, dress and buttons
Draw 2 neck lines, then a long dress with round shoulders from neck back to neck. Add 3 buttons.
Step 6: Long sleeves
Draw each sleeve with 2 lines from the shoulder and the armpit down to the wrist. Add a cuff line.
Tip Rub out the shoulder line inside each sleeve.
Step 7: Mitten hands
Under each sleeve draw a round mitten hand, like the bottom of an egg, with a little thumb pointing in.
Step 8: Legs
For each leg draw 2 lines from the hem down, a little closer at the bottom. Stop at the ankle.
Step 9: Shoes and ground
Under each leg draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the shoes.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, neck, hands and legs peach, going around the cheeks. Colour the cheeks pink. Leave the lenses white.
Step 11: Grey hair, purple dress
Colour the hair and bun grey, and the dress and sleeves purple.
Step 12: Black shoes
Colour the shoes black. Go over your lines and your grandma is done.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a grandma, drawn by you.
