How to Draw a Christmas Unicorn
Draw a Christmas unicorn in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: horse head.
Step 1: Horse head
Near the top left, draw a big round cheek with a smaller round nose sloping down in front.
Tip The nose end is about half as tall as the cheek end.
Step 2: Eye and smile
On the cheek, draw a big oval eye with a black dot. Add a nostril dot and a smile.
Tip Leave a white shine in the eye.
Step 3: Horn and ears
On the forehead, draw a tall pointed horn with 2 curves across. Behind it, draw 2 leaf ears.
Tip The far ear peeks out between the horn and the near ear.
Step 4: Santa hat
Behind the ears, draw a fat band on top of the head. Add a floppy hat with a round bobble.
Tip The hat flops over to the right.
Step 5: Slim neck
Start behind the cheek. Curve the neck's back down to the right and stop. Draw the chest under the chin.
Tip The neck is slim under the chin and wider at the chest.
Step 6: Back and bottom
Start where the neck stopped. Draw a long back, curl round the bottom and stop.
Step 7: Wavy mane
Start under the hat. Draw 3 long soft locks flowing down the neck and stop on the back.
Tip Make a little point where one lock meets the next.
Step 8: Front leg
Draw a ground line. Start at the chest, draw a leg down to a hoof, then up, and stop.
Tip The leg gets thinner below the knee.
Step 9: Tummy and back leg
Start at the front leg and draw the tummy. Draw a wide thigh down to a hoof, up, and stop.
Tip The back leg bends backwards halfway down.
Step 10: Far legs
Behind each leg, draw another leg peeking out, with its hoof on the ground.
Tip Count the legs: 4.
Step 11: Long tail
Start on top of the bottom. Draw a wavy tail down to a point, then back up.
Step 12: Christmas lights
Start on the back by the mane. Draw a string dipping down and up to the back. Add 5 lights.
Tip Each light is a small oval hanging under the string.
Step 13: Gold and pink
Colour the horn and 4 hooves yellow. Colour the ear's inside and a cheek oval pink. Leave the unicorn white.
Step 14: Red and green
Colour the hat and 3 lights red, the mane, tail and 2 lights green. Leave the band and bobble white.
Tip Take turns along the string: red, green, red, green, red.
