How to Draw a Goblin Shark
Draw a goblin shark in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: snout and jaw.
Step 1: Snout and jaw
Start on the left. Draw a long flat blade out to a point, back, then a pointy jaw under it.
Tip A sword snout sticks out over a jaw that pokes forward: 2 points.
Step 2: One big eye
Behind the blade, draw 1 big round eye. Fill it with a black dot, leaving 2 white shines.
Step 3: Back and 2 fins
Start on top of the head. Draw a low back with 2 small fin bumps, ending at a thin neck.
Tip Goblin fins are small and soft: low bumps, not tall sails.
Step 4: Long low tail
From the neck, draw a long low flap back to a point, a notch, then a tiny flap underneath.
Step 5: Soft tummy
Start at the chin. Draw 1 soft sag under the body, curving back up to the bottom of the neck.
Step 6: Mouth and teeth
Start on the jaw point. Draw the mouth line back along the jaw, stopping under the eye. Hang 2 teeth.
Step 7: Gills and stripe
Behind the eye, draw 4 short gill curves. From the mouth corner, draw a long stripe back to the neck.
Step 8: Side and tummy fins
From the stripe behind the gills, draw a soft fin sweeping down, back to the stripe. Add a tummy fin.
Step 9: Bubbles
Above the blade tip, draw 3 bubbles floating up: small, bigger, biggest.
Step 10: Peach tummy, blue bubbles
Colour the tummy and jaw peach, around the side fin and the teeth. Colour the bubbles light blue.
Step 11: Pink shark
Colour everything above the stripe pink, and both fins under it. Leave the eye white. Go over your lines!
