How to Draw a Gingerbread Man
Draw a gingerbread man in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round head.
Step 1: Round head
Near the top, start left of the middle. Draw a big upside-down U over, and stop right of the middle.
Tip Leave a small neck gap at the bottom, one finger wide.
Step 2: Eyes and icing smile
On the middle of the head draw 2 big oval eyes, and a smile under them from eye to eye.
Tip Add a black dot and a shine in each eye.
Step 3: Round cheeks
Draw a small round cheek at each end of the smile.
Step 4: Plump arms
From each side of the neck gap draw a plump arm out to a mitten, stopping below the cheek.
Step 5: The table
Draw a long straight table line across the paper, a head below the mittens, from well left to well right.
Step 6: Tummy and legs
Start at the left armpit. Bow out a tummy, down to the table, round a foot, up to the middle.
Tip Same on the right. Legs lean out like a V.
Step 7: Icing waves
On each wrist and above each foot, start on one edge and draw 3 icing waves across to the other.
Step 8: Bow tie
On the chest draw 2 small triangles pointing at each other. Draw a small square over the points.
Step 9: Candy buttons
Down the middle of the tummy, under the bow tie, draw 3 round buttons in a row with small gaps.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the 2 cheeks pink.
Step 11: Colour the cookie ginger
Colour the cookie ginger, all around the cheeks, buttons and bow tie. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red and blue
Colour the 3 buttons red and the bow tie blue. Go over your lines.
