How to Draw Geometric Shapes
Draw geometric shapes in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the circle.
Step 1: The circle
On the left, below the middle, draw a circle as big as your fist. Leave room on the right.
Tip 3 friends in a row with a gap between each.
Step 2: The circle face
In the circle draw 2 big egg eyes, a wide U smile and a small cheek at each end.
Step 3: The square
Leave a finger gap right of the circle. Draw a square the same height, bottoms level.
Step 4: The square face
Give the square the same happy face: 2 big egg eyes, a wide U smile and 2 little cheeks.
Step 5: The triangle
Leave another gap to the right. Draw a wide triangle, point up, a little taller than the square.
Step 6: The triangle face
Give the triangle the same happy face, low down where it is wide.
Step 7: Sparkles
Draw a sparkle star above the circle and another above the triangle.
Step 8: Floor and shadows
Draw a flat oval shadow round the bottom of each shape. Join them with a floor line, edge to edge.
Step 9: Yellow sparkles, grey shadows
Go over your lines. Colour the sparkles yellow and the 3 shadows grey.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, red circle
Colour all 6 cheeks pink. Colour the circle red around its white eyes and pink cheeks.
Step 11: Blue square, green triangle
Colour the square blue and the triangle green, around the white eyes and pink cheeks.
