How to Draw a Goodbye Text

12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a goodbye text in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: g and o.

Print

  1. Step 1: G and O

Near the top, starting on the left, write a fat bubble G, then an O with a hole.

  2. Step 2: O and D

Then another O and a fat D to finish GOOD.

  3. Step 3: BYE underneath

Under it, write BYE in fat bubble letters: a B with 2 bumps, a Y and an E.

  4. Step 4: Little star

Beside BYE, draw a little 5-point star, its 2 bottom points level with the bottom of the letters.

  5. Step 5: Two big eyes

On the star, draw 2 big round eyes with a small gap between them and a black dot in each.

  6. Step 6: A smile

Start under the left eye. Draw a small U smile and stop under the right eye.

  7. Step 7: Sparkles

Draw 3 little sparkle stars in the empty spaces: 2 beside the D and 1 beside the B.

  8. Step 8: The floor

Draw a straight floor line from side to side, so the letters and the star stand on it.

  9. Step 9: Yellow star, pink cheeks

Go over your lines. Colour the star yellow, leaving the eyes white. Dab pink cheeks beside the smile.

  10. Step 10: Yellow sparkles

Colour the 3 sparkles yellow too.

  11. Step 11: Orange GOOD

Colour the letters of GOOD orange, keeping inside the outlines.

  12. Step 12: Purple BYE

Colour the letters of BYE purple, keeping inside the outlines. Your GOODBYE sign is done!
