How to Draw a Furry Blue Monster
Draw a furry blue monster in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top draw a big egg head. Start at the top, curve down each side to the chin.
Tip Wider than tall, almost half the whole monster.
Step 2: Ears and horns
Draw a round ear high on each side. Between them start on the head, curve 2 horns up to points.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Just below the middle draw 2 big round eyes, a small gap apart. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Little round nose
Under the eyes in the middle draw a small round nose, half as big as an eye. Colour it black.
Tip Leave a small gap between the eyes and the nose.
Step 5: Smile
Under the nose, start below the left eye and draw a wide U smile. Stop below the right eye.
Step 6: Round belly
Start under the left cheek. Draw a big pear body and stop under the right cheek. Add an egg tummy.
Tip The body is narrower than the head, and widest low down.
Step 7: Arms and mittens
From under each cheek, draw an arm down to a mitten on the tummy and back up to the cheek.
Step 8: Legs and feet
Low on each side, draw a round C leg out past the body, then a flat foot under it.
Step 9: Fur and ground
Draw 3 soft fur bumps on each cheek and elbow. Add a ground line under both feet, just past them.
Step 10: Sky blue tummy
Colour the tummy patch and the inside of each ear sky blue.
Step 11: Blue fur, tan horns
Go over your lines. Colour the monster blue, around the tummy, ear insides and eyes. Colour the horns tan.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
