How to Draw a Frog on a Mushroom

Draw a frog on a mushroom in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: wide head.

Step 1: Wide head
Near the top of your paper, draw a wide head with a flat top and a soft round chin.
Step 2: Big eyes on top
Draw 2 big circles sitting on the top corners of the head, half on and half off. Add black dots.
Tip Frog eyes sit right on top of the head, like 2 headlights.
Step 3: Smile and nostrils
Draw a big smile from eye to eye. Dot 2 nostrils above it and a tiny lip under it.
Step 4: Squat tummy
Start under the left cheek. Draw a fat C tummy out, down and round, back up to the right cheek.
Step 5: Belly patch
Inside the tummy, draw 1 big oval for the belly patch, a finger in from the edge all round.
Step 6: Arms and hands
Start under each cheek. Draw a bent carrot arm down to 3 round fingers, back up to the chin.
Step 7: Folded back legs
Start halfway down each arm. Draw a fat bean out to the side for the knee, stopping on the hand.
Step 8: Big webbed feet
Start at the bottom of each bean. Draw a flat paddle foot with 3 round toes, back to the bean.
Step 9: Spotted cap
Draw a big dome behind the frog, from low left round to low right and back. Add 5 round spots.
Tip Lift your pencil where the frog is in the way.
Step 10: Gills underneath
Under the cap, draw a shallow smile from one cap corner to the other. Add 4 short gill lines inside.
Step 11: Stem and ground
From under the gills, draw a chunky stem down to the ground. Add a long ground line under it.
Step 12: Cream belly, red cap
Colour the belly, gills and stem cream. Colour the cap red around the frog, leaving the spots white.
Step 13: Colour the frog green
Go over your lines. Colour the frog green, around the belly patch. Keep the eyes white.
