How to Draw a Bear Cub Climbing
Draw a bear cub climbing in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round head.
Step 1: Round head
Near the top, right of the middle, draw a big round head. Leave room on the left for a tree.
Step 2: Eyes
Halfway down the head, draw 2 big round eyes, each with a black pupil and a tiny white shine.
Tip Eyes sit halfway down the head. Nothing touches them.
Step 3: Snout and smile
Below the eyes, draw an egg snout. From a black nose, draw a line down to a w smile.
Step 4: Round ears
On each top corner of the head, draw a round cookie ear with a smaller curve inside.
Step 5: Tree trunk
Down the left, draw a tall trunk, wide at the bottom, with a bumpy top. Add a ground line across.
Step 6: The body
Start on the left cheek. Draw a tall bean down the trunk, round the bottom, up to the right cheek.
Tip The tummy touches the trunk: the cub is pressed against the tree.
Step 7: Hugging arm
Start at the shoulder, below the head. Draw an arm across the trunk, round a paw, back to the body.
Step 8: Back leg
Start low on the tummy. Draw a bent leg down to a foot on the bark, back to the body.
Tip The foot pushes on the bark: that holds the cub up.
Step 9: Bark lines
Draw 3 short curved bark lines on the trunk: one near the top and 2 low down.
Step 10: Tan snout and trunk
Colour the snout, the ear insides and the trunk tan, around the arm and the foot.
Step 11: Colour it brown
Go over your lines. Colour the bear brown, around the tan snout and ear insides. Keep the eyes white.
