How to Draw Forest Fire
Draw forest fire in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: tall pine tree.
Step 1: Tall pine tree
Draw a ground line. Above its middle draw a tall triangle with a trunk from it down to the ground.
Step 2: Two more pines
On each side draw a smaller pine the same way, with a trunk from it down to the ground.
Step 3: Flames on the left
Start on the ground at the left. Draw a small flame, then a tall one. Stop behind the middle tree.
Tip The fire is behind the trees, so skip over each tree.
Step 4: Flames on the right
Start on the ground at the right. Draw the same 2 flames back to the middle tree.
Tip Make both sides match, like a mirror.
Step 5: Flames inside
Inside each tall flame draw a smaller teardrop flame with a pointy top.
Tip Fire is brightest in the middle.
Step 6: Smoke cloud
Above the flames draw a long lumpy smoke cloud.
Tip Keep a gap between the cloud and the flame tips.
Step 7: Yellow flames
Colour the 2 small flames inside yellow.
Step 8: Orange fire
Colour the rest of the fire orange, around the yellow flames and the trees.
Step 9: Green pines
Colour the 3 pine trees green.
Step 10: Trunks and smoke
Colour the 3 trunks brown and the smoke cloud grey. Go over your lines.
