How to Draw a Dinosaur Bone
Draw a dinosaur bone in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big bone.
Step 1: The big bone
Above the middle, draw a big bone leaning up to the right, with 2 round knobs at each end.
Tip Make it big and chunky: this bone belonged to a dinosaur.
Step 2: A crack
Right of the middle, start on the top edge and draw one short crooked crack down into the bone.
Step 3: A happy face
Left of the crack, draw 2 big dot eyes with a white shine, and a little smile under them.
Step 4: The dirt
Start low on the left. Draw a round mound of dirt behind the bone. Stop low on the right.
Step 5: A little bone
At the bottom of the dirt, draw a tiny bone lying flat: 2 knobs, a short middle, 2 knobs.
Step 6: A brush
At the bottom right, draw a brush lying down: a bristle strip, a block, then a fat round handle.
Step 7: A stone
Left of the dirt, draw one small flat stone like an egg lying on its side.
Step 8: The ground
Start left of the stone. Draw one straight ground line under the dirt, stopping a little past it.
Step 9: Sparkles
In the sky above the bone, draw 3 tiny 4-point sparkles, far from the bone.
Step 10: Cream bones
Go over your lines, then colour both bones and the bristles cream.
Step 11: Wood brush, grey stone
Colour the brush block and handle wood brown, and the stone grey.
Step 12: Brown dirt
Colour the mound of dirt brown, around the bones and the brush. Your dinosaur bone is done!
