How to Draw a Flower Basket
Draw a flower basket in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
Start on the left, below the middle. Draw a wide flat oval for the rim and stop where you began.
Step 2: The basket
From the rim's left end, slope down and in, across the bottom, and back up to the right end.
Step 3: The handle
From the rim, draw a big fat handle arching up and over like a rainbow, left side to right side.
Step 4: The big flower
Under the top of the handle, draw a flower: a ring of 5 round petals with a little circle inside.
Step 5: Two more flowers
Lower down, one each side of the big flower, draw 2 smaller flowers in front of the handle.
Tip Rub out the bits of handle inside the petals.
Step 6: Two tulips
Between the flowers, draw 2 tulip cups: a U with 3 points on top, tucked behind the flowers.
Step 7: Leaves and stems
From the rim's front edge, draw stems up to the big flower and tulips. Add 2 pointed leaves poking out.
Step 8: Weave and ground
Draw 2 lines down the basket and a row of little bumps across it. Add a ground line underneath.
Step 9: Tan basket
Go over your lines. Colour the basket, rim and handle tan, around the flowers and leaves.
Step 10: Pink flowers, yellow middles
Colour the flower middles yellow and the 3 round flowers pink, around the middles.
Step 11: Green leaves, red tulips
Colour the stems and leaves leaf green and both tulips red. Your flower basket is done!
