How to Draw a Fishing Bobber

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a fishing bobber in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the round float.

Print

  1. Step 1: The round float

In the middle of your paper draw a big round ball.

Tip Go round slowly. Leave room above it for the top.

  2. Step 2: The middle line

Start on the left side of the ball. Draw a line sagging across the middle. Stop on the right side.

  3. Step 3: The collar

Start on top of the ball. Draw a short, wide collar with a flat top. Stop back on the ball.

  4. Step 4: The button

Start on the collar. Draw a taller, thinner button with a round top. Stop back on the collar.

  5. Step 5: A little ring

On top of the button draw a small ring.

  6. Step 6: The fishing line

From the ring draw 1 straight line up and to the right, stopping near the top.

  7. Step 7: The water line

Start at the left edge, low on the ball. Draw wave bumps across to the right edge.

Tip The bottom of the ball hides under the water, so rub it out.

  8. Step 8: More waves

Lower down, draw a second row of bigger wave bumps from edge to edge.

  9. Step 9: Blue water

Colour the water light blue, from the top waves down to the bottom of your paper.

  10. Step 10: Red top

Colour the button, the collar and the top half of the ball red. Leave the bottom half white.
