How to Draw a Fireball
Draw a fireball in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ball.
Step 1: The ball
Right of the middle of your paper, draw one big round ball of fire, as big as a grapefruit.
Tip The face goes on it, so make it big.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Above the middle of the ball, draw 2 big egg eyes one eye apart, with a black dot and shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The flame tail
Start on the top-left of the ball. Draw a big flame streaming left with 3 licks, stopping at the bottom-left.
Tip The middle lick is the longest.
Step 5: A flame inside
In the big flame, draw a smaller one: start on the ball, wobble out 3 licks, back to the ball.
Step 6: Sparks
Round the tail, draw 2 tiny 4-point star sparks flying off behind the flames, not touching them.
Step 7: Whoosh lines
Draw 3 short whoosh lines behind the flame: 1 above the top lick, 1 between licks, 1 below.
Step 8: Yellow ball
Go over your lines, then colour the ball yellow. Leave the eyes white.
Step 9: Orange flame, pink cheeks
Colour the smaller flame and the sparks orange, and the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Red flames
Colour the big flame tail red around the orange flame, and your fireball is blazing!
