How to Draw a Fire Extinguisher
Draw a fire extinguisher in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tank.
Step 1: The tank
Draw a tall tank in the middle: straight sides, a flat bottom and round shoulders with a flat top.
Tip Make both shoulders match.
Step 2: The valve
On the flat top draw a small box, a little wider than the top.
Step 3: Two big eyes
High on the tank draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a big black dot with a white shine.
Tip Leave room under the face for the label.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The handle
From the right side of the box draw a flat bar sticking out, with a round end.
Step 6: The lever
On top of the box draw a longer bar. Slant it up to the right, above the handle.
Tip The lever reaches a little further than the handle.
Step 7: The hose
Start on the left side of the box. Draw a thick hose curving out and down beside the tank.
Tip Keep the 2 hose lines the same distance apart all the way.
Step 8: The nozzle
On the end of the hose draw a nozzle like a bell, wider at the bottom.
Step 9: Gauge and label
Draw a small circle on the box for the gauge. Under the face draw 2 lines across the tank.
Step 10: The floor
Draw a floor line under the tank, from near the left edge to near the right.
Step 11: Pink and yellow
Colour the cheeks pink. Colour the gauge and the label yellow.
Step 12: Red tank
Colour the tank red, above and below the label. Go around the cheeks and leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Grey top, black hose
Colour the box, the handle and the lever grey. Colour the hose and nozzle black. Your fire extinguisher is ready!
