How to Draw a Fennec Fox
Draw a fennec fox in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Draw a wide dome for the top of the head. Add a soft fur tuft each side and a chin.
Step 2: Huge ears
On each side of the head draw a huge ear leaning out. Draw a smaller ear shape inside each.
Tip Fennec ears are the biggest of any fox.
Step 3: Big eyes
Below the middle of the head draw 2 big round eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Snout and nose
Under the eyes draw a short rounded snout inside the face. Add a black nose and a little w smile.
Step 5: Chest
Start on the left jaw under the tufts. Draw a short C down for the chest, stopping a hand below.
Step 6: Ground and haunches
Draw a ground line. From each chest line draw a big C out and down to the ground.
Step 7: Front legs
Draw a small rainbow on the chest. From each end draw a leg down to a mitten paw, then back.
Step 8: Back paws
Start on each haunch just above the ground. Draw a bun paw humping over and stop on the front paw.
Step 9: Big comma tail
Start on the right haunch. Draw a fat tail up to a round tip, then back down to the ground.
Step 10: Tail tip
Near the top of the tail draw one short curve from the outside edge across to the inside edge.
Step 11: Cream and peach
Colour the snout and the bib between the front legs cream. Colour inside the ears peach.
Step 12: Sand fur
Colour the rest of the fur sand, around the cream and peach. Leave the eyes and tail tip white.
Step 13: Black tail tip
Colour the tail tip black. Go over your lines and your fennec fox is done.
