How to Draw Eagle Wings
Draw eagle wings in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two top edges.
Step 1: Two top edges
Start in the middle of your page. Draw a long curve up and out to the right. Mirror it left.
Tip Together the 2 curves make a wide open V, like a bird far away.
Step 2: Under the arms
Start at the tip of each top edge. Draw a long curve back down. Stop when the 2 curves meet.
Tip Each wing now has a long banana shape along the top.
Step 3: Finger feathers
Hang 5 long finger feathers from the outer half of each curve. Fan them from sideways round to down.
Tip Eagles spread their wing tips like fingers. Leave a V gap between each pair.
Step 4: Back feathers
From the last finger feather draw 4 round U feathers along the bottom. The 2 wings meet in the middle.
Step 5: Middle line
Start where the top edges meet. Draw a straight line down. Stop where the bottom feathers meet.
Step 6: Feather lines
Start at each dip along the bottom. Draw a line up and stop at the curve above.
Step 7: Small top feathers
Start high on the middle line. Draw 4 U bumps along each banana shape. Stop near the wing tip.
Step 8: Tan top feathers
Colour the top band of small feathers on both wings tan.
Tip Start with the lightest colour. Each band gets darker.
Step 9: Light brown row
Colour the band under the bumps on both wings light brown.
Step 10: Dark brown feathers
Colour all the long feathers dark brown. Go over your lines and your eagle wings are done.
