How to Draw a Chameleon Face
Draw a chameleon face in 8 easy steps, about 6 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big head.
Step 1: Big head
Draw a sideways head: round snout on the left, a slope up to a tall point, 4 bumps before it.
Tip Make the bumps small round hills, not spikes.
Step 2: Turret eye
In the middle, draw a big ring like a doughnut. Add a big eye inside with a dot and shine.
Step 3: Smile and nostril
From the snout tip, draw a long gentle smile back under the turret. Draw a little nostril above it.
Step 4: Curly tongue
From the snout, draw a thin tongue flicking out left and curling down in a hook, with a ball end.
Step 5: Helmet line
From the first bump, draw a long curve dipping down to the back of the head, for the helmet.
Step 6: Head stripes
Behind the turret, draw 3 curved stripes like 3 brackets, from under the helmet line to below the middle.
Step 7: Light green helmet
Colour the ring and the helmet with its bumps light green. Leave the eye white.
Step 8: Green head, pink tongue
Colour the rest of the head green, around the ring and helmet. Colour the tongue pink.
