How to Draw a Felucca
Draw a felucca in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: hull and rudder.
Step 1: Hull and rudder
Draw a long low banana hull with pointy tips and a saggy deck. Hang a small rudder off the back.
Tip A felucca is long and low on the water.
Step 2: The waves
From the left edge draw wave bumps to the right edge. Skip the parts behind the boat. Add 4 ripples.
Step 3: Porthole face
On the hull draw 2 porthole eyes with a dot and shine, a smile under them, and 2 oval cheeks.
Step 4: Mast and long pole
Draw a short mast up from the deck. Across its top draw a LONG pole slanting up to the back.
Tip The sail hangs from this pole, the longest line in the picture.
Step 5: The triangle sail
Hang 1 big triangle sail from the pole, behind the mast, with a curved edge sweeping down to the back.
Tip One big triangle, no second sail.
Step 6: The awning
At the back draw a thin awning, with a post from each end down to the deck.
Step 7: The sun
In the top corner draw a circle for the sun, with 8 short rays pointing out all round.
Step 8: Yellow sun, tan poles
Go over your lines. Colour the sun yellow, and the mast, the pole and the rudder tan.
Step 9: Pink cheeks
Colour the 2 cheeks pink. Leave the eyes, the sail and the awning white.
Step 10: Blue sea
Colour the sea blue from the waves down to the bottom of the paper, around the boat.
Step 11: Wood hull
Colour the hull wood brown, going around the portholes and cheeks. Your felucca glides down the river!
