14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw feeding ducks in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big egg head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Big egg head

High on the left draw a big egg for the head.

Tip Leave the right half of the page for the pond and the ducks.

  2. Step 2: Happy face

On the right of the head draw 2 tall oval eyes with black dots, and a smile under them.

  3. Step 3: Hair and ponytail

Draw hair over the top and back of the head, with a short ponytail hanging at the back.

Tip Rub out the head line inside the hair.

  4. Step 4: Body and shorts

From under the head draw a T-shirt body down to a flat hem. Add shorts with 2 short legs.

  5. Step 5: Legs and shoes

From each shorts leg draw a thigh and a bent shin down to a rounded shoe under the ankle.

Tip The front knee bends forward. The back foot is lifting off its heel.

  6. Step 6: Throwing arm

On the shoulder draw a short sleeve. From it draw an arm reaching out to a mitten hand.

Tip Rub out the body line inside the sleeve.

  7. Step 7: Bag of food

From the tummy draw the other hand reaching out to hold a small bag. Dot 3 falling crumbs.

  8. Step 8: Duck in the water

On the right start a duck: chest, round head, back, perky tail. Join the ends with a water line.

Tip Let the water line run a little past the duck on each side, like ripples.

  9. Step 9: Bill, eye and wing

Add a flat bill on the front of the head, a round eye with a dot, and a wing.

  10. Step 10: Second duck

Further right, start a smaller duck and join its ends with a water line. Add its bill, eye and wing.

  11. Step 11: Pond and bank

From the left draw a line across to the right behind the shoulders, and another behind the ankles.

Tip The pond lies between the 2 long lines.

  12. Step 12: Peach skin, white ducks

Colour a pink cheek, then the face, arm, hands and legs peach. Leave the eyes and the 2 ducks white.

  13. Step 13: Orange and green

Colour the T-shirt and the 2 bills orange. Colour the shorts and the grass at the bottom green.

  14. Step 14: Blue pond, brown hair

Colour the pond between your 2 long lines blue. Colour the hair, shoes and bag brown.
