How to Draw a Falcon
Draw a falcon in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Near the top left, draw a big round head, a little wider than tall, with a tiny chin bump.
Step 2: Hooked beak
On the head's front, draw a small hooked beak. Add a line near its base and a mouth line.
Step 3: Eye and moustache
Draw a big shiny eye. Under it, draw a line from beak to back, dipping down like a moustache.
Step 4: Plump body
Start behind the head. Draw the back down to the rump, round a fat belly, back up to the chin.
Step 5: Fan tail
Start on the rump. Draw a wide fan tail down and back, then back to the tummy. Add 2 lines.
Step 6: Folded wing
Start behind the head. Draw a teardrop wing along the side, pointing to the rump. Add 2 feather lines.
Step 7: Chest bars
On the chest, draw 3 short curved dashes one under the other, like little smiles.
Step 8: Front leg and toes
Under the front of the tummy, draw a short skinny leg with 3 fat toes curling down.
Step 9: Back leg and toes
A thumb behind the first leg, draw a second leg and toes the same way.
Step 10: The branch
Draw a long branch under the toes, reaching well past both feet, with a little twig.
Step 11: Yellow feet, cream chest
Colour the eye ring, beak base and feet yellow. Leave the eye white. Colour the chest and cheek cream.
Step 12: Brown branch, grey falcon
Colour the branch brown. Colour the head, back, tail and beak grey, around the cream and the wing.
Step 13: Navy wing
Colour the wing navy.
