How to Draw a Falcon Flying
Draw a falcon flying in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
On the left of your paper, draw a big round head, a little wider than tall.
Step 2: Hooked beak
On the head's front, draw a small hooked beak. Add a line near its base and a mouth line.
Tip Short and sharp, not a long bill.
Step 3: Eye and moustache
Draw a big shiny eye. Under it, draw a line from beak to back, dipping down like a moustache.
Step 4: Long body
Start behind the head. Draw a long back to a round end, then under the tummy to the chin.
Step 5: Fan tail
From the round end's top, draw a fan tail out behind, wider at the end, back to its bottom.
Step 6: Big pointed wing
Start just behind the head. Draw a long wing to a sharp point, 4 soft bumps down, then back.
Tip A falcon's wing is long and pointed like a blade.
Step 7: Tummy bars
On the tummy, draw 3 short curved dashes one under the other, like little smiles.
Step 8: A puffy cloud
Under the head, draw a little cloud with 3 round puffs and a flat bottom.
Step 9: Yellow and cream
Colour the eye ring and beak base yellow. Leave the eye white. Colour the cheek and body cream.
Step 10: Grey head and tail
Colour the head, beak and tail grey, around the cream and the yellow ring.
Step 11: Navy wing
Colour the long pointed wing navy. Leave the cloud white.
