How to Draw Falafel
Draw falafel in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
In the middle of your paper draw a big flat oval plate, as wide as your hand.
Step 2: The rim
Draw a second oval a finger inside the plate, all the way round, for the rim.
Step 3: Two falafel
Just left of the middle of the plate draw 2 bumpy balls side by side, the left one tucked behind.
Tip Falafel are crispy fried balls of chickpea.
Step 4: One behind
Behind and between them draw a third round: start on the front ones, go up and over, stop on them.
Step 5: One cut in half
Behind the right ball draw a bumpy round. Draw a big oval inside it for the cut face.
Step 6: Sesame seeds
On the balls draw 6 little teardrop seeds, pointing different ways.
Step 7: A blob of sauce
At the front, under the 2 front balls, draw a wobbly low blob of sauce, tucked behind them.
Step 8: A lemon wedge
On the left draw a lemon wedge touching the first ball: a half-round with a curve and 3 lines inside.
Step 9: The table
Draw a table line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.
Step 10: Cream and yellow
Go over your lines. Colour the seeds cream and the lemon yellow. Leave the sauce white.
Step 11: Brown and green
Colour the cut face green. Colour all the balls brown, around the seeds and the green face.
Step 12: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue around the food to finish.
