10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw an exclamation in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bar.

Print

  1. Step 1: The bar

In the middle, draw a tall bar, wide at the top and narrower at the bottom, with rounded ends.

Tip Like a long upside-down bowling pin.

  2. Step 2: The dot

Under the bar, leaving a gap, draw a round dot.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

Up on the bar, below the top, draw 2 round eyes close together with a black dot and shine.

  4. Step 4: A smile

Under the eyes, draw a small U smile from under one eye to the other.

  5. Step 5: A shine

Near the top right of the bar, above the eyes, draw a small thin oval for a shine.

  6. Step 6: Sparkles

Draw 4 sparkle stars around the exclamation mark, 2 on each side.

  7. Step 7: A shadow

Across the bottom of the dot, draw a thin flat oval for its shadow.

  8. Step 8: The floor

From each side of the shadow, draw a straight floor line out, stopping a thumb from the edge.

  9. Step 9: Yellow sparkles, grey shadow

Colour the 4 sparkles yellow and the shadow grey.

  10. Step 10: Red exclamation

Colour the bar and dot red, around the face and shine. Leave the eyes white. You are done!
