How to Draw a Europe Map
Draw a europe map in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top coast.
Step 1: The top coast
Start near the top right. Bump down to the left, past a sharp point. Loop round a bay and stop.
Tip Europe has a very wiggly coast. Take it one line at a time.
Step 2: The long north
Carry on from there. Curve over a hump, then draw a long line slanting down left. Stop at a tip.
Step 3: The blunt end
From that tip, hook up and back down round a blunt end, then climb a bumpy line. Stop high up.
Tip This long hanging shape is Norway and Sweden.
Step 4: The Baltic Sea
Carry on from there. Come down, poke a thin bay right, curve down and left. Stop under the blunt end.
Tip The sea you have drawn round is the Baltic Sea.
Step 5: The thumb
From there, draw a thumb pointing up, then a long bumpy line slanting down left. Stop at a point.
Tip The thumb is Denmark.
Step 6: The square block
Carry on from there. Dip into a wide bay, then go round a big square block. Stop at the bottom.
Tip The big block is Spain and Portugal.
Step 7: Along to the boot
Carry on from there. Slant up right, round a wide bay, then slant down right. Stop at a toe.
Step 8: The boot
From the toe, draw a heel and go up the boot. Turn, then slant down right. Stop at a point.
Tip Italy looks like a boot kicking a ball.
Step 9: The Black Sea
From there, go up past a small point. Turn right, draw a big arch, then a small one. Stop.
Tip The tooth between the 2 arches is Crimea. The sea below them is the Black Sea.
Step 10: Close the land
From there, go right, step up and right again, then draw a long line up. Join your first line.
Tip Europe ends at the Ural Mountains. Asia is on the other side.
Step 11: Two big islands
Left of the land, draw a tall bumpy island. Draw a smaller round island to its left.
Tip These are Great Britain and Ireland.
Step 12: Three more islands
Draw an island in the top left. Add a triangle island at the toe and an oval beside the boot.
Tip The top one is Iceland. The triangle is Sicily, the ball the boot kicks.
Step 13: Blue sea
Go over your lines. Colour the sea light blue, all around the land, out to the edges.
Step 14: Green land
Colour the land and the 5 islands green. Your map of Europe is done!

Your finished drawing
