How to Draw an Elephant Face
Draw an elephant face in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: huge head.
Step 1: Huge head
Start low, just left of the middle. Draw a huge round head, stopping 2 fingers from where you began.
Tip Make it big, but leave room at the sides for the ears.
Step 2: Curly trunk
Above the gap, draw a small rainbow. From its ends, draw a long trunk that curls up at the tip.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Above the rainbow, draw 2 big round eyes, a trunk-width apart, each with a black dot and shine.
Step 4: The smile
From each side of the trunk, below the rainbow, draw a short smile curve out and up.
Tip The smile peeks out from behind the trunk like a wide grin.
Step 5: Huge fan ears
From near the top of the head, draw a huge fan ear on each side, ending down on the cheek.
Tip Elephant ears are widest at the top, so go wide up top!
Step 6: Inside the ears
Inside each ear, draw a curve that follows the ear's edge, a finger inside it.
Step 7: Two tusks
Under the chin, on each side of the trunk, draw a little curved tusk pointing down and out.
Step 8: Trunk wrinkles
Across the lower trunk, draw 3 little curved lines from edge to edge, one under the other.
Step 9: Two eyebrows
A finger above each eye, draw a short curved eyebrow over the eye's middle.
Step 10: Pink ears, cream tusks
Colour the inside of the ears pink, add a pink blush on each cheek, and colour the tusks cream.
Step 11: Colour it grey
Colour the head, trunk and ears grey, around the pink and cream parts. Leave the eyes white.
