How to Draw an Egg
Draw an egg in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pan.
Step 1: The pan
Left of the middle draw a big round pan, as big as your hand, all the way round.
Step 2: The handle
From the pan's right side draw a fat handle out, round the end and back to the pan.
Tip A fat stick with a round end, not a flat cut.
Step 3: The pan's rim
Draw a second circle just inside the pan, following the first all the way round, for the rim.
Step 4: The egg white
Inside the pan draw a wobbly cloud shape for the egg white, filling most of the pan.
Tip Egg whites are blobby, not round: give it lumps and dips.
Step 5: The yolk
In the middle of the white, a little up and left, draw a round yolk, almost half as wide.
Step 6: A shine
On the top left of the yolk draw a tiny slanted oval for a shine.
Step 7: Steam
Above the pan draw 3 wavy lines going up, like wiggly worms, a little apart.
Step 8: Yellow yolk
Go over your lines, then colour the yolk yellow, leaving the shine white.
Step 9: Grey pan
Colour the pan floor light grey around the egg white, then the rim slate grey.
Step 10: Brown handle
Colour the handle brown.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: an egg, drawn by you.
